Anchored Youth Ministry

A reminder that Steubenville Youth Conference forms are due today (see forms tab above or in narthex). However, I will continue to accept forms through this coming Sunday. We are reserving our spots Monday morning. We might reserve a couple extra spots, but can't guarantee you a spot if I don't hear from you by Sunday. Come watch The Giver with us tomorrow 6-8:15 in the Rock. We will discuss the movie in terms of the Culture of Death that we live in - fitting for the day before "all hallows eve."

Join us for our first Movie Monday tonight with the Martian 6-9pm in the Rock. The movie is ~2 1/2 hours, and we'll have a short discussion at the beginning and end centered on the question "What to do when life overwhelms you." All the movies we will be watching through the lens of discovering what is "true, good and beautiful" because ultimately anything that is true, good and beautiful can lead us to discover the One who is truth, goodness and beauty itself - God! Snacks will be provided. Please bring your own pillow/blankets/chair - whatever makes you comfortable.

Help is needed Friday around 4pm to move tables and chairs from the Gym to Gathering Space. This will count for Church hours for Confirmation. Let Colleen know if you're interested, or just show up.

Join us this Sunday 6-8pm for our next youth night (please remember we are starting at 6pm, not 7pm). We will dive into the Sacrament of Baptism, and explore what it means for us now, even years after receiving the Sacrament.

Beginning 10/22  the junior high & high school youth nights will move up from 7-9pm to 6-8pm. When applicable, Youth Mass will start at 5pm instead of 6pm. We will still offer dinner after youth mass and snacks/dessert on non-Mass nights. Team Planning this Sunday will still be 8-9pm for Confirmed 10, 11 and 12 grade students. We will discuss then if we want to move up team planning in the future as well.

Our first mandatory parent/candidate/sponsor confirmation meeting will be this Sunday after 10:30 mass (~11:45-1:45). Brunch included. No team planning or youth night this weekend. Use the extra time to be with your family! God bless you!
