WELCOME PARENTS


Hello and blessings! As the new Director of Youth Evangelization, I am excited to begin this journey with you. Two distinct purposes of youth ministry at St. Peter’s are to be a resource to you as you raise your teen to become the individual that he/she was created to be and to form disciples of Jesus Christ.
 
We need your help! Please consider volunteering: we need parents willing to drive, chaperone, prepare/serve food and participate in other miscellaneous roles throughout the year. We also ask families to make a donation (~$35.00 per child) to help defray the cost of providing food at youth group.  Thank you!

 
If your child is interested in receiving the Sacrament of Confirmation this year please make sure you contact us so that you have all of the information you'll need!

The beautiful season of Advent has begun.  Take this time to renew and refresh instead of hurry and stress.  Spend some extra time with family and friends and especially the One who created and adores you!  Here are some things you can look forward to this month…. GENERAL INFO  As we study the Rosary prayer this year, we are asking each student, adult, family member, friend, and supporter to dedicate just 10 minutes a day and start praying one decade.  It's an amazing prayer we can share as a group and carry with us for the rest of our lives.  Pray it alone, in pairs or groups.  Download an APP on your phone! Dear you,   First, I want to thank you for an amazing year. It has been such an adventure to meet you, get to know you, spend time in prayer and play with you, etc. I am amazed by what God has done through the joy of socials, work of the Corporal Works of Mercy, taught through Youth Group, and revealed through Koinonia. I write to begin to say goodbye- I am moving back home and wanted the opportunity to tell you with my words. I have Major Depressive Disorder and have been in treatment for it. I tell you this because I want you to know three things. 1) In a Christian community, we are meant to share our weaknesses 2) I love you and this community so much that it would take something very serious for me to leave 3) God is faithful, and life is hard sometimes. This disorder I struggle with does not make me love God less- it makes me appreciate Him more because I know I need Him.
