Anchored Youth Ministry

It was a smaller week at youth group this Sunday.  I must say, I do love the weeks of serious fun and silliness, but it’s nice every once and awhile to stop and reflect on why we all come together.  The strength of the Eucharist and His presence within the bread and wine is something we can take for granted.  On those Sundays when it’s the most difficult to drag yourself out of bed (or the Saturday when it’s so hard to drop what you’re doing) to make it to Mass, just remember – YOU GET TO SEE A MIRACLE. And then you get to be part of that miracle.  How lucky are you?? Just a little something to think about as we take a little Spring Break. For those of us who were on retreat last weekend… Welcome Home!   We dove right into this Lenten Season with a refreshed and renewed spirit.  What a gift it was to experience a time away from all our commitments and electronics.  Sometimes we don’t even realize how immersed we are with everything around us.  Speaking of commitments… Confirmation Candidates – There is a Sponsor/Parent/Candidate Meeting on Sunday following 10:30am mass.  This is the final meeting!  Please be ready to sign up for final interviews and bring any questions you may have.   YOUTH GROUP on Sunday is at Riverview Lanes starting at 7pm! Bring your bowling talent (or lack there of) and have a blast! The cost is $8. We hope to see you there.  There will be a Koinonia Slideshow and pizza as well!   Have a blessed and prayerful week.  Stay strong with those Lenten Sacrifices!

We’ve been studying the bits and pieces of Mass during youth group this year and this is a fantastic opportunity to put it all together.  Come learn something new about our amazing celebration in which we take part each week. Meet at The Rock.   Preschool move – Can you spare a few hours on Saturday morning Feb 1st? Meet at 10 am to help move the preschool supplies into their new classroom!
